The purpose of the Fund is to: promote human
resources of Georgian football; send abroad
talented players and coaches; advance
talented children discovered in the
peripherical area of the country to leading
clubs of the capital; assist financially and
economically youth football schools; send
youth teams to tournaments abroad; promote
talented young players with grants; conduct
juridical consultation to the coaches and
players. The activity of the Fund is not
limited with this - in case of necessity the
Fund is ready to render other kind of
assistance as well.
Football is a democratic game. But in
Georgia everything was changed so that not
only the democracy, even the philosophy has
disappeared from football. We have several
traditional teams; the new clubs are also
being formed, though they have neither
philosophy, nor any specific directions.
Now let us raise a question - what is
Georgian football? Earlier the answer was
clear: virtuosity, feint demonstration,
peculiar character, Paichadze, Meskhi,
Kipiani...
Nowadays very few people attend the National
Championship matches. Probably because the
clubs do not have the football philosophy
and the fans do not know what the Georgian
football means – he will go to the stadium
and watch the match where nearly all players
look like each other.
Studying at football schools costs
approximately 30-40 Lari per month and a lot
of families cannot afford this. Those who
can afford it should send their children to
play on grassless fields and often under the
supervision of such a coach who does not
possess even the license. The child anyway
grows up, learns playing football, but still
faces the problem – to be enrolled in such
club that doesn’t have football philosophy.
The young player still tries his best to
play football and then goes to unknown clubs
in Zakatala, Kabardo or Krivoy Rog.
The situation should be improved. Some think
that for this it is necessary to change the
management of Georgian Football Federation
or even the authority of the country, but
some continue building and does not wait
changes. Revaz, Shota and Archil Arveladze
created the Charity Fund for assisting
Georgian football.
The child is talented and their parents don
not have resources? – the Arveladze Fund
will take care of him and enroll him in a
good football school and the football will
be played by both - rich and poor players.
The young player grew up and he deserves
real club not the untrue one. The Arveladze
Fund will seek a club for him abroad,
purchase a ticket, obtain a visa and send
him to the right place, where everybody
knows what the football club is and what
does the football philosophy mean.
If a talented coach is a beginner in this
cursed country the Club Presidents prefer
the coaches with average skills, unenviable
reputation, lack of fantasy, but obedient.
But the Arveladze Fund will take care of
this talented man and take him to the place,
where his abilities will be appraised and
support him in acquiring new coaching
skills.
A player has no agent. Someone wants to
cheat him, to conclude one-sided agreement –
the Arveladze Fund will provide all kind of
consultations to avoid any complications in
the players’ career.
Briefly, assistance and enlargement of the
field of vision is the main goal of creating
this Fund.
Often the charity funds are creating for
other purposes as well –both carrying out
charity actions and making desirable image
for political purposes. Brothers Arveladze
are going neither to become members of
Parliament, nor to start any kind of
political activity. But their names and
regalia in football sphere here and there
are clear.
Football must be democratic in Georgia as
well and our football must have large field
of vision, legible handwriting and
prospects.
In this activity Brothers Arveladze must not
be alone. They are looking for partners.
